Saturday May 19 and Sunday May 20 In this seminar, you will explore the four challenges from Pat Pattison's new book in depth: 1. Object Writing, 2. Metaphor, 3. Extending Metaphor, 4. Doing it all in Rhythm and Rhyme. You'll learn to integrate Object Writing into your Songwriting; create powerful and effective metaphor, using straight-forward exercises you can do on your own; extend and reverse metaphor, and finally, work with rhythm and rhyme, preparing your writing for its journey into song. This seminar will open your mind and release your best ideas.
Selected participants will have an opportunity to receive constructive critiques of their songs and lyrics. The Saturday song sessions will run in order of registration, so register early to help your chances! The Sunday song sessions will be randomly selected. Questions?
